Join us to learn about: the impact of Alzheimer’s, the difference between Alzheimer’s and dementia, Alzheimer’s disease stages and risk factors, current research and treatments available to address some symptoms, and Alzheimer’s Association resources.

Maureen McIntyre will give an overview of the Area Agencies on Aging, the CHOICES program, and Medicare Open Enrollment.

Conservatorship and Estate Planning - Allison Poirier of Kahan Kerensky Caposella, LLP and Judge Elisa Bartlett of Ellington Probate Court

The presentation will involve some estate planning and conservatorship basics and will answer the following questions: What is a Will? When do assets have to pass through probate? When do I need a Power of Attorney and a Health Care Directive? When do I need a conservator? What is the difference between an involuntary and voluntary conservatorship?
